Al-Fajr al-Muqaddas al-Mahdī wa Irhāṣāt al-Yawm al-Mawʿūd wa Aḥdāth Sanah al-Ẓuhūr (Arabic:الفجر المقدس المهدی(ع) و إرهاصات الیوم الموعود و أحداث سنة الظهور), lit. the holy dawn: Imam Mahdi (a) and preparation for the promised day and the events of the year of reappearance) reviews signs of reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a). It is written by Sayyid Mujtaba al-Sadah and printed by Dar Al Khaleej.[1]
Introduction to the Book
Author of this work, Sayyid Mujtaba al-Sadah, as is apparent from his preface, argues that: lack of knowledge about signs of reappearance looks rampant among people to an extent that demands reiteration. To fill that vacuum, a consistent map of signs needs to be outlined so that people could use it to track actual events leading to Imam Mahdi’s (a) reappearance. In four chapters, the author discusses narrations detailing reappearance and its signs. He reviews a series of events that have, from a historical perspective, been translated into actions. Then he focuses on those special signs whose occurrences are perceived to nearly coincide around the time of reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a), mainly: the Sufyani, Yamani, clashes in Kufa and Baghdad, and last but not the least, murder of Nafs al-Zakiyyah. Having described early stages of Imam Mahdi’s rule, the author concludes by drawing on the application of Bada' to justify reappearance-themed hadiths.[2]
