Aṣḥāb wa Yārān-e Mahdī (Persian: اصحاب و یاران مهدی) is an article in Persian that evaluates Imam Mahdi’s (a) helpers and their distinctive qualities. It is written by Qanbar Ali Samadi and published on Intizar-e Maw’ud Publications No. 29, summer of 2010.[1]
Abstract
This article, by relying on Shi'a narration sources, presents an analysis on the elite class of helpers of Imam Mahdi (a) such as their reported identities, nationalities, genders (men or women), estimates on number of helpers, also, their order of attendance and overall readiness to rise when the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a) initiates. The author divides their rank into two categories of special companions and his helpers during the reappearance.[2]
About the Authors
Hujjat al-Islam Qanbar ʿAlī Ṣamadī (Persian: قنبر علی صمدی) pursued his hawza studies by attending classes of scholars such as Muhammad Fadil Lankarani, Nasir Makarim Shirazi, 'Abdullah Jawadi Amuli, and Husayn Wahid Khurasani. Besides teaching in hawza, he has been a supervisor and advisor on thesis projects related to jurisprudence and law. He has also written scores of articles and books including: Mabani-ye Farjamshinasi-ye Tarikh dar Qur'an, Imam-e Hay-ye Ghayib , Guftiman-e Raj'at dar Ayat wa Riwayat, Guftiman-e Jahani-ye Mahdawiyyat wa Ayanda-ye Bashar, Sira-ye Imam Mahdi dar 'Asr-e Zuhur, Amuzi-ye Intizar wa Zamineh Sazi-ye Zuhur, Naqsh-e Mardum dar Ta'jil-e Zuhur, Ashab wa Yaran-e Mahdi, Akharin Munji, and Didar-e Yar-e Ghayib.[3] Head of Yasin Cultural Group and member of researchers and writers group of Encyclopedia of Islamic Theology of Imam Sadiq Institute are among his undertakings.
