Mawʿūd Shināsī wa Pāsukh bi Shubahāt (Persian:موعودشناسی و پاسخ به شبهات) is a book in Persian that discusses existence of Imam Mahdi (a) and answers questions regarding his age, philosophy of the occultation and how it unfolds. It is written by Ali Asghar Ridwani and printed by the the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran Publications.[1]
Book Overview
In this work, the author argues that Mahdism is a central topic among others in Islam that looms especially in major denominations: Shi'a and Sunni. He argues that such an issue is not only raised in the religion of Islam, but it has also been of equal merit to other religions, that is: the idea of saving and the savior. He further notes that other non-Abrahamic religions, factions and non-religious schools, too, characterized an awaited savior in their scriptures with details on his ideal society. Though all religions and their denominations have struggled to outline its specifics, due weight has not been lent on its multi-faceted aspects. However, what all characterizations seem to have in common is acknowledging the reappearance of a pious individual who invites a corroding society to become lively once again.
The awaited savior ranks as one of the highly debated topics in human history; one that involves departure from darkness to light, justice and truth.[1]
About the Author
ʿAlī Aṣghar Riḍwānī or Ali Asghar Rezvani (Persian: علی اصغر رضوانی) is a teacher at Specialized Center for Mahdism, Seminary of Qom, and al-Mustafa International University.
