Book Overview
This work reviews one of the signs of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a) namely the Sufyani. It inquires into the identity of Sufyani, whether Sufyani is a person or a would-be evoked movement. In the first chapter, the book studies Sufyani’s bloodline and whether this it can be classified as mutable or immutable sign of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a). In the second chapter, the rise, governing and death of Sufyani are discussed. And in the third chapter, issues like the approximate geography of the term Shām (aka. The Levant), the rise of Shisabani (aka. ‘Auf al-Silmi) and singularity or plurality of Sufyani are explored.[1]
