Hujjat al-Islam ʿAbbās Rahīmī (Persian: عباس رحیمی, b. 1947, Isfahan, Iran) is a graduate of hawza who has taken classes with great scholars such as Imam Khomeini, Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, Sayyid Mahmud Shahrudi and Sayyid Muhammad Rida Gulpaygani, and Nasir Makarim Shirazi. He was former leader of Friday Prayer of the two cities of Khomeyni Shahr and Mobarakeh. He played an active and earnest role in the struggles against the deposed Shah of Iran. Besides teaching at hawza, he has authored works, including: Shamim-e Gul-e Nargis, Umid-e Farda, Guft wa Gu dar Mahdar-i Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam-e Khish ra Bishinas (lit. know your Imam), Barrasi-ye Maqatil-e Mu'tabar Darbara-ye Imam Zaman, Qiyam-e Imam Husayn and Sunnat-e Du'a wa Tawassul.[1]
