Ḥaḍrat-e Mahdī Furīgh-e Tābān-e Wilāyat (Persian: حضرت مهدی (ع) فروغ تابان ولایت) is a book in Persian that explores Imam Mahdi (a)’s character in the broader context of the global integration of his mission; the so-called Justice Government. It is written by Muhammad Muhammadi Ishtihardi and printed by Publications of the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran.[1]

Introduction to the Book

The author begins by providing a general review on Imam Mahdi (a)’s life, his early childhood and its exclusive aspects. He then adopts a Q & A approach to respond to discussions around Minor Occultation, Al-Nuwwāb al-Arbaʿa (aka. the four deputies), Major Occultation, insurgencies before the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a), Wilayah Faqih and belief in the savior. He also addresses questions regarding developments taking place before and after the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a), signs of reappearance, his helpers, his residence, his age, Raj'a, Mahdism and his system of governing.[2]

Muhammad Muhammadi Ishtihardi

Hujjat al-Islam Muḥammad Muhammadī Ishtihārdī (Persian:محمد محمدی اشتهاردی, b. 1944) pursued his education in hawza by taking classes of scholars like Sayyid Muhammad Rida Gulpayigani, Mirza Hashim Amuli, Nasir Makarim Shirazi, Abu l-Qasim Khaz'ali and Ali Panah Ishtihardi. Later, as a teacher for religious studies, he wrote scores of articles and books concerning religious beliefs including: Ranjha wa Faryadha-ye Fatimah (a), Dastanha-ye Nahj al-Balagha, Hadrat-e Mahdi Furugh-e Taban-e Wilayat, Imam Husayn (a) Aftab-e Taban-e Wilayat, Nigahi bar Zindigi-ye Imam Husayn (a), Parhiz az Bihudegara'yi wa Ghaybat, Parhiz az Chashmchirani wa Khiyanat-e Chashm, Talash wa Shawq Shagirdan dar Tahsil-e Ilm, Khutba-ye Fadak, Amuzaha-ye Akhlaqi dar Du'aye Hazrat Mahdi (a), Farazha'yi az Khutba-ye Ghadir, Tawassul dar Sira-ye Pishwayan and Arzishha dar Sira-ye Dirakhshan-e Imam-e Sadiq (a). Delivering sermons and promoting word of Islam make up most of his professional career.[3]
