Nishānihā-ye Yār wa Chakāma-ye Intiẓār (Persian: نشانه‌های یار و چکامه‌ انتظار, literally: signs of the friend and an Ode to waiting) is a book in Persian authored by Mahdi Alizadih regarding signs of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a) and virtues of waiting for his reappearance. It was printed by the Publications of the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran[1].

Introduction to the Book

In its overview, it has been stated: "the author studies the immediate and distant signs of reappearance of the Imam Mahdi (a) based on the Quranic verses and Shiite and Sunni narrations. Later sections of the book include discussions on the belief on Imam Mahdi (a) and on the Unseen (ghayb), the meaning and virtues of waiting for the Imam (a), and the responsibilities of those who are waiting for his reappearance. The final section of the book includes poetic verses in praise of Imam Mahdi (a)".[2]

Hujjat al-Islam Mahdī ʿAlīzadih (Persian: مهدی علی‌زاده) is a hawza graduate. He has authored works, including: Nishaniha-ye Yar wa Chakama-ye Intizar (lit. signs of the friend and an Ode to waiting), Nishaniha-ye Yar and Dar Intizar-e Quqnus (translated into Arabic as al-Mahdi al-Muntazar fi al-Fikr al-Islami).[3] He has served as director of Center for Training Researchers and Writers, deputy of research for Islamic Seminaries Management Center, director of Ethic and Training Group of the Supreme Council of Qom Seminary. He has also taught relevant courses at Ma'sumiyah Seminary, Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, Imam Khomeini’s Educational and Research Institute, and Institute of Mahdawiyya.
