Book Overview
In introducing this book it has been mentioned that: In general, the idea of Mahdism is the belief in the appearance of the savior at the End of Times. This belief exists in all or majority of the nations of the world. In the Shi'ite tradition also this is the belief in the re-appearance of the Imam (a) of the Time. His re-appearance will usher in a world filled with justice and fairness. Further, it would cause the roots of oppression and its proponents to be thoroughly wiped out likewise any discrimination or injustice. Mahdism in Shi'i school of thought is the belief in the coming of the Imam of the Age who is a descendant of the Immaculate Imams (a) from the lineage of the Prophet (s) of Islam. He has been chosen by God and his coming has been promised at the End of Times from the time of the Prophet (s) itself. The special and striking feature exhibited only by Shi'ite Mahdism is the belief in a promised savior who, though alive and in occultation is a witness over human deeds and, at times, responds to their needs accordingly. The book answers 100 frequently asked questions (FAQs) about Mahdism and Imam Mahdi (a).[1]
